BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE

Mulligan mobilization with movement (MWM) and eccentric exercise have both been shown to be effective treatments for lateral elbow tendinopathy, also called tennis elbow.

However, the effect of these treatments in combination is unknown. This quasi-experimental study examined the effect of combining MWM with eccentric exercise for tennis elbow.

Mulligan mobilization with movement and eccentric exercise have both been shown to be effective treatments for lateral elbow tendinopathy.
bulb
Mobilization with movement paired with eccentric exercise improved pain and function more than eccentric exercise alone.

METHODS

  • 30 participants with lateral elbow tendinopathy were divided into two groups: (1) education and eccentric exercise (EE), and (2), education, eccentric exercise, and MWM (see MWM treatment Technique Video).
